Dear All,
Here comes the newsletter for April and May.
As you may have noticed, 2010 marks the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth. The Royal College of Music in Stockholm is celebrating this with a festival where students, teachers and alumni perform his works. As an alumni, I have been invited to play the Polonaise in A-flat op.53 and the Nocturne in E Minor op.72 no. 1 on Tuesday 27 April at 7.00. More info: www.kmh.se
Then, on Thursday 6 May, I am the piano soloist in Henze's monumental Requiem with the Symphony Orchestra of the Norrlandsoperan in Umeå, Sweden. Håkan Hardenberger is trumpet soloist and Rumon Gamba conducts the concert which starts at 7.00pm at the Concert Hall of the Norrlandsoperan. More info: www.m-a-d-e.se
And finally on Saturday 8th May at 11.00am I will be playing a recital in St. Peter's Parish Church in Burnley, UK. Roman and Chopin on the programme. More info: www.stpetersburnley.com
Hope to see you there
Best wishes Martin Sturfält
