Happy New Year 2008 - here comes the first newsletter of the year from martinsturfalt.com, containing three duo recitals in the UK with Marie Macleod and myself;

Saturday 12th January at 11.00am in St Peter's Parish Church in Burnley. My by now almost yearly visit to Burnley thus! Programme of Mendelssohn, Messiaen (this year's anniversary composer par excellence!) and Chopin.

Then on Wednesday 16th January at 1.10pm at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall we play in the 91st season of the Manchester Mid-day Concerts. This concert sees the World Premiere of Gunnar Valkare's new piece, Giro, written for us and commissioned by the Swedish Concert Bureau (Rikskonserter). We also play works by Mendelssohn and Chopin. And finally on Sunday 20th January we play a recital at St John's Church in Stansted Mountfitchet. More info about this concert can be found at: www.villagemusicclub.co.uk
