Dear All,
Hope you are having a good summer so far. I must say the weather has been rather mixed where I have been. . . but fingers crossed August will be a bit better! Before then however, I have three more concerts to invite you to;
The first is on Sunday 22nd July at 7.45pm at Yewfield House in the beautiful UK Lake District, and I am playing works by de Frumerie, Schumann and Grieg together with Marie Macleod, cello. More info at www.yewfield.co.uk
And then I'm off to Sweden for a complete performance of Grieg's Lyrical Pieces for solo piano! On Saturday the 28th July in the Allhelgona Church in Stockholm, starting at 6.00pm, Bengt Forsberg, Anders Kilström and myself will alternately perform all 66 pieces! I will play volumes 2, 5 and 8. More info at www.svkyrkankatarina.com
And finally another duo recital with Marie Macleod - on Saturday the 4th August at 7.00pm in Salle, Norfolk, UK. Programme includes the Chopin Cello Sonata plus some Bach, Grieg and de Frumerie.
After a bit of a holiday in August, the 2007/08 season is looking very exciting. 2008 will be the Messiaen centenary and I will be involved in a lot of exciting activities in connection with that. Please check my website for a preview of concerts to come.
Wishing you all a wonderful second half of the summer. Martin Sturfält
