JUN/JUL 2009

Dear All,

Hope summer has actually started where you are. In Sweden, where I am at the moment, we have had the coldest June for 50 years, apparently! Anyways, here comes a final newsletter before the summer holidays . . .

First a lunchtime concert together with cellist Marie Macleod in the Chichester Festival. This takes place on Friday 26th June at 1.10pm in St John's Chapel, Chichester, UK. Programme of Huw Watkins and Rachmaninoff. More info at www.chifest.org.uk

The following day, Saturday 27th June at 7.30, we play the same programme (with the addition of Mendelssohn's first Cello Sonata) in the Wigmore Hall in London. More info about this concert at www.wigmore-hall.org.uk

Those of you who can't make either of these concerts still get a chance of hearing us on BBC Radio 3 programme In Tune in the evening of the 26th June. We will be performing live in the studio and chat to host Sean Rafferty. The programme as well as photos from the session will be available via the BBC website afterwards: www.bbc.co.uk/radio3

And finally, on Saturday 11th July, as part of the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival, I will play a piano recital at Heptonstall Church. The concert starts at 8.00pm and the programme consists of music by Mendelssohn, Bach and Liszt. More info at www.hebdenbridge.co.uk

Wishing you all a very lovely summer.
